Belarusian Filmmakers' Network (BFN) invites you to the sneak preview of a new Belarusian film that hasn‘t been screened yet.

On January 23, 2024, a Belarusian film (2023) dealing with the topic of incredibly marginalized group of people in Belarus where their existence is denied and Rainer Werner Fassbinder's short film "Der Stadtstreicher" (The City Tramp) (1966) will be shown. Both films share the same theme of the fear of the other, which is explored through the prism of homophobia in the first film and through that of xenophobia in the second.

The screening will be followed by a discussion with invited guests and the audience and will address the topic of diversity and various forms of its fear - homophobia, xenophobia etc. - in cinema.
