The organizing committee of the first BarCamp of Belarusian independent filmmakers extends the deadline for registration until July 21, 2023. Belarusian filmmakers who don’t need a visa will have more time to fill in the registration form. An invitation to attend will be sent to the participants by July 22, 2023.
The event will be held from August 18 to August 20, 2023 in Warsaw, Poland.

The program of the congress will include a number of events in four blocks:

- Conceptual discussion. What should our cinema be like?
- Organizational and administrative. Development of a plan to organize the necessary infrastructure
- Industrial. Events, festivals, grants, markets, training. Master classes by invited experts
- Presentation. A quick feedback on projects in progress.

The list of invited experts, including representatives of such international festivals as Das FilmFestival Cottbus, Międzynarodowy Festiwal Filmowy NNW and Warszawski Międzynarodowy Festiwal Filmowy, as well as distributors and producer associations, is being updated.

Leonid Kalitenya, Manager of BarCamp 2023, comments: “To date, we have received more than 90 applications. We set an ambitious goal to bring the community of Belarusian filmmakers together and to work out a unified strategy for the development of the Belarusian cinema. To achieve this goal, we will use every opportunity and will try not to miss a single bright idea”.
