Belarusian Filmmakers' Network (BFN) invites you to the screening of the short film Live (Na Żywo) directed by Mara Tamkovich. The movie tells about a peaceful demonstration in Minsk, which is brutally put down by the police. Two female journalists from an independent Belarusian TV station are the only ones broadcasting the events live. When they are tracked down by a police drone, they face a dramatic choice. The drama is inspired by the true story of Katerina Bakhvalova and Daria Chultsova.

The film has already won numerous awards at international film festivals in Europe and the USA.

The screening will be followed by a discussion about police violence in cinema, including a comparison with the famous scenes from "The Lost Honor of Katharina Blum" by Volker Schlöndorff and Margarethe von Trotta.
